On Wednesday, May 24th, over 40 members of the Xylem Tree Experts team gathered in Culpeper, VA to participate in the Rappahannock Electric Cooperative Day of Safety. This annual event was held at Mountain Run Lake Park, which provided the perfect setting for a day of hands-on tree care education.
James Wendt, Training Coordinator with Xylem's Safety Department, lead a demonstration on chainsaw safety for industry peers from across the vegetation management industry. Xylem's insurance partner also provided a Driving Simulator.
Other sessions included ANSI A300 Tree Pruning Techniques, DOT Compliance and Equipment Safety, Technical Rigging, and Emergency Egress from Aerial Lifts.
